Thank you for checking out my blog. I’m a frequent flyer married to a flight attendant. This venture started when my husband was preparing for a flight on standby. He purchased candy bars for the flight attendants. Apparently a tradition in the industry.
It gave me the idea to start a new tradition. I tend to be a little extreme so I upped the candy bar tradition. I purchase little gift bags and include a candy bar along with other fun edible treats. Sometimes I’ll add a little trinket, Christmas ornament or something related to the holiday or season. I had stickers made that say “PROUD HUSBAND OF A FLIGHT ATTENDANT.” I put one on the gift bag. The flight attendants appreciate it and it always creates a good conversation.
I am a people watcher and see lots oof things on planes worthy of sharing. Some are funny, some are observant of other peoples unbelievable behavior, some are heart warming.
My most memorable flight attendant was on a flight between Oakland & Long Beach. She was the lead. She was very happy, we was funny and gregarious. As she spoke, she thanked us for flying and giving her a job. She then announced her age, in her 80’s. A memory I will never forget. I only hope I will have such a great attitude in my 80’s…….. or make it that to 80 and be so active.
Thanks for stopping by. More fun stories to come.
